THE MEDICAL TEAM is taking action to protect our workforce, clients, and their families in the prevention of the infectious disease Coronavirus COVID-19.
Our Agency Disaster Plan addresses the prevention and spread of pandemic flu, Ebola, and Infection Control and Disease Prevention. In addition to these, we have updated our Disaster Plan to include Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are requiring that ALL employees and contractors complete the COVID-19 Health Care Worker Screening Form.
Everyone has a role to play in getting ready and staying healthy. Protect yourself and your community form getting and spreading respiratory illnesses like coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
What you can do:
Everyone can do their part to help us respond to this emerging public health threat:
- The CDC recommends getting a flu vaccine if you haven’t already done so.
- Taking everyday prevention actions to help stop the spread of germs, such as washing your hands frequently and using coughing and sneezing etiquette.
- If you’re elderly or immunocompromised, try to avoid going out in public places where you may be exposed to flu or other viruses and illnesses until the incidence of coronavirus has lessened.
- If you have symptoms of a respiratory infection, flu or other virus, stay home and avoid contact with other individuals. Seek medical attention if symptoms worsen or persist.
Individuals and communities should familiarize themselves with recommendation to protect themselves and their community from getting and spreading respiratory illnesses.
